Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is Infinity Ward's twenty-third entry in the series and the fourth chapter in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series. The campaign follows a war erupting on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches a full-scale invasion of the South. Players take on the role of Private Park, a young South Korean soldier facing combat for the first time, fighting to survive alongside his squad through collapsing cities. Meanwhile, operator-turned-outlaw Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows, staying one step ahead of those hunting him. The campaign spans trench warfare in Korea, close-quarters combat in New York, car chases through Paris, and SAS night raids in Mumbai. Multiplayer introduces a new weapons-first system called 'Ballistic Authority,' removing bloom on hip-fire so weapons always hit where aimed. The game launches with 12 new 6v6 maps and 'Kill Block,' a dynamic battleground that reconfigures itself across more than 500 layouts between rounds. DMZ, the extraction mode absent since Modern Warfare II (2022), also returns, set in a new exclusion zone called Hajin. Unlike GTA VI, MW4's PC release is CONFIRMED — it launches October 23, 2026 via Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox on PC. Infinity Ward has said the game was 'built with the PC community in mind,' promising more options to tune performance, visual fidelity, and responsiveness. However, Activision has not yet published official minimum or recommended system requirements. We'll update this page with real specs — and add it to our FPS calculator — as soon as they're announced.
